This town is mired in history and some of the most famous of the landmarks include Norwich Castle. This royal palace dates back to the Normans from 1067. Today, you can tour the castle and the museum that it houses. The Normans also finished the Norwich Cathedral in 1101 and has the distinction of being the only cathedral to have the Saxon throne in the original position. This cathedral offers beauty and tranquility within the busy city.
The largest protected wetland in England is the Norfolk Broads, which has many wildlife and bird sanctuaries, making this a favor location for birdwatchers. The waterways can be traveled or you can choose to afford on foot or on a bicycle. You can also take a rail tour of the area.
